Most Christians have had Christ revealed to them but not all of us have had Christ revealed in us. Paul had a revelation of Christ in him. In Gal. 1: 15, 16 he stated that "when it pleased God....to reveal his son in me, that I might preach him..." Paul went on to pray in Ephesians that the eyes our understanding might be enlighten and also that Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith" (Eph. 1:18; 3:17). Paul's great desire was that we may have a revelation of who Jesus is in us. Jesus has been revealed to us as our Savior and as Lord. But now that we know him as Lord and Savior, do know him as Christ? Peter had a revelation of who he was when Jesus asked the disciples, "who do you say that I am?" Peter said, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God" (Matt. 16: 15,16). "Christ" in the Greek means the Anointed One. God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and Power who when about doing good, healing all those oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38). God's Spirit was on him, God anointed him to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind and to set at liberty those who were bruised (Luke 4:18). Jesus fulfilled the work that God gave him to do, he died for our sins, he arose and ascended to right hand of God with all authority in heaven and earth given to him. He said that he would go away but that he would send the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that "ye shall receive power after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you..."(Acts 1:7) and that the works that he did we would do also (John 14). When we have a revelation of Christ in us, we realized that "Christ is in us, the hope of glory" (Col.1: 27). We realized that the Anointing of Jesus, the power of the Holy Ghost, and the love of God is in us so that just like Jesus we can go about doing good and healing all those oppressed of the devil. We have this power in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us (II Cor. 4:7). When we have this revelation in us people can see Christ, they will know us by our works and glorify God. Like Paul we will be able to reveal the Christ in us to them.
